Founded by Ron Thomas in 1973, R.E. Thomas Marine Hardware, Inc. has been manufacturing precision machine parts and components for a wide range of industries, including marine, for nearly half a century.

In 2003, the company acquired a line of bronze marine hardware giving Mr. Thomas a new and exciting venue to research, design, and improve for the boating industry. Mr. Thomas’s innovations in marine hardware and running gear helped revolutionize “Downeast Style” boats by allowing boat builders and marine mechanics to safely keep pace with the ever-increasing demands of today’s trend in higher horsepower engines.

Today, the company remains dedicated to customer service, innovation and manufacturing the safest and most reliable marine hardware and running gear available.

Our manufacturing facility is located on the coast of Downeast Maine in the town of Hancock. In addition to our close proximity to some of the country’s finest boat builders, our website has enabled R.E. Thomas to introduce our rugged, reliable products to a diverse marine audience across the country and we’re delighted by the feedback we’ve received from our expanded customer base.

All of our marine components are machined and quality inspected on site at our production facility.
